Based at our Thomastown branch, you'll be responsible for the full operation — from receiving and dispatch through to counter sales, team supervision and business development. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all warehouse operations: receiving, picking, packing, dispatch and returns
- Serving trade and retail customers at the counter with accurate HVAC product advice
- Supervising, rostering and developing a small team of warehouse and counter sales staff
- Maintaining stock accuracy through cycle counts and stock rotation
- Following up quotes and sales leads to convert enquiries into orders
- Identifying opportunities to grow trade accounts and repeat business
- Upholding customer service standards and resolving issues promptly
- Championing safe work practices and WHS compliance across the team
Key Performance Indicators Your performance will be measured against:
- Monthly and annual sales budgets
- Stock accuracy rates from cycle counts and stocktakes
- On-time, accurate order dispatch
- Customer service standards — acknowledge customers within 30 seconds, answer phones within 4 rings,
respond to emails within 1 hour
- WHS compliance: incident rates, hazard reporting and housekeeping audits
- Team performance, retention and training completion
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience in HVAC, refrigeration or related trade supply
- Demonstrated warehouse management and team leadership experience
- Counter sales or customer service experience in a trade, wholesale or industrial environment
- Physically fit and comfortable working hands-on daily
- Strong communication skills with trade customers and staff
- Sound computer literacy including POS/inventory systems
- Current Forklift License (LF)
- Current Drivers License
