About the role

This is a varied, hands-on position providing shift and leave coverage, together with general maintenance, building care and security duties for a large residential apartment building.

Key responsibilities

- General building maintenance and minor repairs

- Handyman and practical maintenance tasks

- Gardening and upkeep of external areas

- Routine inspections of the building and common property

- Monitoring building security and access

- Assisting contractors and providing building access

- Maintaining the presentation of common areas

- Identifying and reporting maintenance or security issues

- Moving equipment, furniture and deliveries when required

- Assisting owners and residents with building-related enquiries and requests

About you

- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently

- Practical and comfortable undertaking hands-on work

- Well presented,



polite and approachable

- Comfortable communicating with and assisting owners and residents

- Security conscious and observant

- Physically capable of general maintenance and gardening duties

- Willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks

- Able to use initiative and common sense

- Adaptable with availability for shift and leave coverage

- Previous experience in building maintenance, trades, gardening, facilities, security, property services or similar work would be advantageous but is not essential
