Key responsibilities

Business analysis and process improvement

- Lead discovery with SMB owners, bookkeepers, accountants and internal teams.
- Map current and future-state processes and identify gaps, duplication, control issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business needs into transparent requirements, process designs, user stories, acceptance criteria and recommendations.
- Support testing, implementation, adoption and continuous improvement.

Finance and SMB business systems Apply practical understanding across areas including:

- accounting, bookkeeping, cash flow and reporting;
- invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation and payroll;
- CRM, sales and customer management;
- people and workforce systems;
- workflow, task and project management;
- marketing and communications;
- document and knowledge management;
- reporting and business intelligence; and
- integrations and data flow between business systems.





You are not expected to be an expert in every domain. Your role is to understand how the pieces connect and how better processes and systems can improve the business. AI-native business and adaptation

- Identify where AI, automation and agents can improve or redesign SMB workflows.
- Help rethink processes rather than simply adding AI to existing ways of working.
- Explore how AI changes roles, responsibilities, skills, controls and decision-making.
- Use AI confidently in your own analysis, documentation, prototyping, testing and problem-solving.
- Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical opportunities for SMBs.
- Apply appropriate judgement around privacy, security, accuracy, human oversight and auditability.
