Business Product Lead – Workforce Management

This multi-year program will establish a more integrated, compliant and sustainable approach to workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, and workforce insights.

Your new role

As the Business Product Lead – Workforce Management, you will own the product vision, target-state outcomes and transformation roadmap. You will translate strategic direction into an integrated product design spanning business capabilities, operating models, processes, governance, data, integration and technology enablement.

Working closely with senior business, architecture, technology and transformation leaders, you will provide a single point of accountability for the integrity of the workforce management design. You will lead a multidisciplinary product team and ensure alignment between business objectives, design decisions and delivery outcomes throughout the transformation lifecycle.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Owning the workforce management product vision, design principles, target-state design and roadmap
- Leading end-to-end product design across workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance and workforce insights
- Defining and evolving the target operating model, including processes, governance, decision rights, controls and service delivery arrangements
- Co-leading design governance with solution architecture and ensuring alignment across business, data, integration and technology
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of business analysts, capability leads and product specialists




- Facilitating stakeholder co-design and resolving complex design issues, dependencies and competing priorities
- Aligning workforce management design with payroll, HCM, finance, data, timetabling and strategic workforce planning capabilities
- Supporting technology procurement, market evaluation and solution selection
- Providing design assurance throughout implementation, testing, deployment and benefits realisation

What you'll need to succeed You will be an experienced product, operating model, business architecture or transformation design leader with a track record of working across large-scale, multi-phase enterprise programs.

You will also bring:

- Strong workforce management or HR transformation experience
- Knowledge of workforce planning, workload allocation, scheduling, time and attendance, compliance controls and workforce reporting
- Demonstrated experience developing target operating models, business capabilities, governance frameworks and end-to-end processes
- Experience governing complex design decisions across multiple senior stakeholder groups
- The ability to connect business objectives with architecture, data, integration and technology design
- Experience leading multidisciplinary product or design teams
- Strong stakeholder co-design, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills
- Experience supporting enterprise technology procurement and solution evaluation
- Experience in a complex, federated environment such as higher education, government or a comparably large organisation
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
