Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience

BHAIKA TELECOM PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Cabler to install, test, maintain and repair data and telecommunications cabling. You will interpret job requirements, complete cabling work safely and keep accurate records of completed work.

Key Responsibilities

- Read plans, drawings and specifications to determine cable routes, equipment locations and connection requirements.
- Install data and telecommunications cabling, outlets and associated equipment.
- Run, secure, terminate and connect cables in accordance with job specifications and applicable cabling requirements.
- Test cable connections and telecommunications equipment using appropriate instruments.
- Identify and diagnose faults in cabling and associated equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty cables, connections and components.
- Maintain existing cabling installations and complete upgrades when required.
- Check completed work for quality, performance and safety.




- Record installation, testing, maintenance and repair work.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and applicable telecommunications cabling rules.

Qualifications and Experience
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in data or telecommunications cabling.
- A relevant Certificate III or Certificate IV in Telecommunications, or an equivalent qualification, will be highly regarded.
- Current cabling registration appropriate to the work performed is required.
- Experience installing, terminating, testing and fault-finding data or telecommunications cabling.
- Ability to read plans and technical specifications and use cabling test equipment.
- Good communication, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work safely, independently and as part of a team.
