Role Description The Cadastral Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Brisbane Area. The position is responsible for conducting precise land and boundary surveys, preparing survey plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and local authority requirements.

Day-to-day tasks include field measurements using GNSS, total stations, and other survey instruments; processing and validating survey data; and preparing documentation for subdivisions, easements, and property boundary definitions. The role involves liaising with project managers, consulting engineers, local councils, and clients to clarify survey requirements and provide accurate survey information for design and development.

Surveyor will also maintain survey records, support quality assurance processes, and contribute to project planning and timelines.

Qualifications

- Professional surveying skills, including cadastral surveying, boundary definition, subdivision surveys, and preparation of survey plans and reports.
- Proficiency with survey equipment and software, such as GNSS receivers, total stations, digital levels, and common surveying/CAD packages (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar).
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards for land titling, property boundaries, and development approvals in Queensland.
- Data management and analytical skills, including accurate field data collection, quality checking, and integration of survey data into design and documentation workflows.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project managers, engineers, soil testers, and other technical specialists.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality in both field and office environments.
- Recognized qualification in surveying or geomatics and eligibility for relevant professional registration or certification in Queensland.
- Experience in land development or residential construction projects in the Greater Brisbane Area is highly desirable.
