The Company – Quick Camps

Our client, Quick Camps manufactures custom built caravans / portable units for accommodation, kitchens, bathrooms, offices and crib rooms that are used for remote mining and construction projects in Western Australia as well as the Eastern States. Due to an increased demand in Quick Camps products, they are currently seeking a Trade Qualified Carpenter to join their team working on a Permanent / Full Time Basis.

Quicks Camps – Location & Working Hours

- Location: Bibra Lake
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Additional Hours: Additional working hours and working days outside of ordinary hours will be required to meet operational demands. Allowances & Overtime remuneration will apply when applicable

The Role Quick Camps have numerous custom designs with a large range of Accommodation and Utility Units to suit remote camps for 10 to 100 people. The range covers caravans with 3 single rooms with ensuites through to 5 single rooms no ensuite as well as varying size and fit out for kitchens, bathrooms, offices, crib rooms, dining rooms, gyms, medical care and specialized storage.

The units are manufactured in stages which include;

- Trailer Manufacture
- Caravan Frame Build
- Flooring
- Panel Cutting & Fixing
- Plumbing Fit Out
- Electrical Fit Out
- Doors and Window Installation
- Cabinetry Assemble & Installation

Working from a trailer chassis, the manufacturing process includes panel cutting and installation through to final fit out. The Carpenter will be required to carry out the following key tasks to a high quality and within set frames, which include;




- Working off Detailed Diagrams – 3D & Shop Drawings
- Measure & Cut Insulated Panels for Exterior, Interior & Roofing – Table & Drop Saws
- Measure & Cut Flooring Panels / Sheets
- Fixing Flooring onto Trailer Chassis
- Fixing in U Channels and Structs
- Fitting Panels – External, Interior & Roof
- Drilling, Riveting & Fixing Angle & Flat Bar to Exterior & Internal Walls & Roof
- Drilling Access Holes for Electrical & Plumbing Fittings – External & Interior
- Fitting Doors, Windows & Skylights
- Applying or Fitting Floor Coverings – Vinyl or Composite
- Plumbing - Measure, Cutting, Glueing & Fitting PVC Pipe for Drainage & Water Supply - Sinks, Shower Enclosures & Toilets
- Fitting Sinks, Taps, Toilets & Shower Enclosures
- Fitting Sewage Waste Tanks, Clear Water & Grey Water Pumps
- Fitting Cabinets, Desks & Fixtures
- Fitting Pre-Fabricated Steps & Walkways
- Completing Daily Job Sheets for Work Activities
- Updating Stores System Regularly of Materials Taken from Stores for Builds
- Training New Staff in Manufacturing Process & Systems
- Continuous Quality Control Throughout Build

The Candidate we are seeking a candidate that is Trade Qualified in Carpentry in any of the following;

- Carpenter
- Cabinet Maker
- Shop Fitter
- Roof Carpenter




- Mandatory Tickets include;
- White Card
- WA C Class Driving License
- Trade Certificate

High on our list are Trade Qualified Carpenters that have worked in the following job types;
- Portable Building Manufacture
- Caravan Manufacture
- Shop Fit Out
- Building & Construction

Due to the nature of the business, there is a possibility of Site Work being involved in this role. Site work will include, but is not limited too;
- WA & Interstate Travel
- Towing Caravans to or from Remote Sites
- Set Up or Pack Up of Camp Sites

Remuneration Quick Camps is seeking a dependable Tradesmen to join their team on a Permanent / Full time basis. Depending on experience, qualifications and past work history the salary package will include

- $75,000 to $85,000 Per Annum
- + Superannuation Guarantee
- + Leave Entitlements
- + Allowances & Over Time when Applicable
