About the Role

CareSouth is seeking a Caseworker to join our team in Wagga Wagga on either a full-time or part-time basis, in a fixed-term position up to 30 June 2027.

As a Caseworker you will be a part of a team which works dynamically across the child protection spectrum, from family preservation, permanency support, restoration and adoption.

You will have the chance to build meaningful relationships with children, young people and families, while working alongside colleagues and community partners to support positive and sustainable outcomes.

What yo uneed to be successful in your role:

1. Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people and people with a disability.
2. A Degree in Social Work or Psychology or Diploma in Social Sciences/Social Welfare or equivalent qualification, or working towards one.
3.



Demonstrated understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and their families.
4. Sound interpersonal, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously and as a part of a high performing team.
6. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective community networks.
7. Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.
8. Understanding and commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity, Work Health and Safety, Cultural issues and the NSW Child Protection system.
9. Current driver’s licence.
10. Willing to undergo a National Police Clearance, and obtain a (NSW) Working with Children Check clearance number and NDIS Workers Clearance.
