Casual Aged Care & In-Home Support Workers – Sydney

Location: Various locations across Sydney

Pay Rate: $41.00 – $46.00 per hour + super, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting caring, reliable and experienced male and female Aged Care and In-Home Support Workers to join our casual staff pool across Sydney.

At this stage, we are building our pool of qualified and experienced workers in preparation for upcoming client support needs. Shifts are not guaranteed immediately. As clients and suitable shifts become available, shifts will be offered and allocated based on the client’s needs, location, worker experience and availability.

Applicants must be flexible and willing to travel to clients across different areas of Sydney.

About the Role

Depending on each client’s individual needs, duties may include:

- In-home support and assistance with daily living
- Personal care, including showering, dressing and grooming
- Community access and social support
- Transport to appointments, shopping and community activities
- Meal preparation and light household duties
- Medication assistance within the worker’s training, competency and scope of practice
- Mobility and manual handling assistance
- Supporting clients to maintain their independence at home
- Companionship and meaningful social support
- Other general in-home aged care supports based on the client’s individual needs

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability), Aged Care, Disability, or another relevant equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in aged care, disability support, in-home care or community support




- Experience providing personal care and supporting clients with daily living activities
- Current Australian driver licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel to clients across Sydney
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in clients’ homes
- A respectful, patient and person-centred approach

Applicants with a Certificate III in Disability are welcome to apply. Workers must also have appropriate experience, training and demonstrated competency for the aged care duties they are allocated, including personal care, manual handling and medication assistance where applicable. Pay and Conditions The standard casual weekday daytime rate is $41.00 – $46.00 per hour + superannuation, depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

The advertised rate applies to standard daytime hours Monday to Friday.

Applicable evening, weekend, public holiday, overtime and other penalty rates will be paid in accordance with the relevant industrial award and employment conditions.

Important Information About Shifts

We are currently adding suitable workers to our casual staff pool. There are no guaranteed minimum hours or immediate shifts.

Once client services and shifts become available, suitable workers from our staff pool will be contacted and offered shifts based on client requirements, location, experience and worker availability.
