About the role

Mount Morgan Village is seeking a Casual Chef/Cook to join our hospitality team on a flexible, casual basis. What you'll be doing

- Preparing and cooking meals according to a prederermined menu requirement and food safety standards
- Ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Managing food storage, inventory and stock rotation in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment at all times
- Following all food preparation techniques and dietary requirements as specified
- Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service
- Adhering to all food safety protocols and handling allergen information responsibly
- Contributing to menu planning and suggesting new dish ideas where appropriate

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality and consistency
- Sound understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills




- A team-oriented approach with strong communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a casual working arrangement
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in food handling and safety are advantageous
- Experience in aged care, retirement village or hospitality settings is preferred
