About the Role
After-school support to an active 12-year-old female with an intellectual disability who communicates non-verbally. The young person enjoys books, music, using an iPad and staying active, and lives at home with family and a pet dog.
Shifts
Monday and Tuesday, 2:30 pm–7:30 pm, with the possibility of an additional Wednesday shift.
Key responsibilities
· Support the young person to build independence and confidence through community access and enjoyable activities.
· Provide school pick-up and transport home.
· Assist with unpacking the school bag and preparing for dinner.
· Provide minimal personal care as required.
We’re looking for a FEMALE support worker who has:
· A reliable car suitable for school pick-ups, transport to Monday therapy appointments and community outings.
· A genuine passion for supporting an active young person through fun, engaging activities.
· Experience supporting people who communicate non-verbally is preferred but not essential.
· No household chores are required.
Essential Compliance requirements:
- NDIS worker screening check
- WWCC
- NDIS Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- First Aid certificate (AUS RTO issued)
- CPR certificate (AUS RTO issued)
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Australian drivers licence
SCHADS Home Care 2.1 position - $38.73 per hour base rate + shift loadings + super No agencies thank you.
Pay: $38.73 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
