We are seeking a reliable and compassionate FEMALE Disability Support Worker to provide regular assistance to a young adult with complex physical and communication support needs in her family home in Heidelberg. She is moving into adulthood and enjoys art, gardening, music, songwriting, singing, performance, imaginative play and making humorous videos.

About the role

This is a weekly Friday role with an alternating fortnightly roster:

· Week 1: Friday, 8:00 am–1:30 pm

· Week 2: Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm

· Additional availability to cover shifts when required is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

· Provide total assistance with daily living and personal care activities.

· Support partner-assisted communication using communication assistive technology.





· Assist with regular position changes in line with the participant’s support needs.

· Prepare and provide PEG feeds and pureed meals in accordance with the participant’s support plan and relevant training.

· Support wheelchair use, hoist transfers and continence care.

· Promote choice, dignity, safety and active participation in everyday life and community activities.

About you

· You are dependable, respectful and comfortable providing high-level physical support.

· You communicate patiently and support the participant to make choices and be involved in decisions affecting her life.

· You have relevant experience and training, in complex personal care, PEG feeding, safe hoist transfers and communication support.

· You can commit to the regular Friday roster and may be available for additional shift coverage.

Essential Compliance requirements:

- NDIS worker screening check
- NDIS Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You
- First Aid certificate (AUS RTO issued)
- CPR certificate (AUS RTO issued)
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Australian drivers licence

SACS Level 2 position - $45.28 per hour base rate + shift loadings + super No agencies thank you.

Pay: $45.28 per hour

Expected hours: 14.5 – 20.0 per week
