We are seeking friendly, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our team as Casual Staff at our busy takeaway chicken shop. The role involves assisting with food preparation, serving customers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive takeaway experience for every customer. Expected 15-20 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers in a fast, professional, and courteous manner
- Take customer orders accurately at the counter or over the phone
- Prepare and package meals, sides, and beverages according to shop standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) system and handle cash and EFTPOS transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the shop, including counters, kitchen, and dining areas
- Restock ingredients, packaging, and supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and workplace health & safety procedures
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth and productive service during peak times
About you
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work with deep fryers and or the grill
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean workspace
- Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
- Ability to follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
- Available for flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Basic food handling knowledge
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting
- Able to lift up to 20kg as required for restocking and general duties
- Right to work in Australia
- Minimum of 1 year experience working at a takeaway shop or similar establishment
