Dirk’s is growing, and South Bank is next.

Following the launch of our first store at Buranda Village, we’re now building the opening team for our second Brisbane location, planned to open in South Bank this October.

Dirk’s is a new Australian fast-casual brand serving damn good hot dogs, sides, house sodas and soft-serve, all with big flavour, cheeky energy and a genuine love of dogs.

We’re looking for casual Team Members who want to help bring the next Dirk’s store to life.

No experience? No problem.

We care more about your energy, reliability and attitude. If you enjoy working with people, can bring good energy to a shift and are willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

The role

As a Dirk’s Team Member, you’ll be trained across different areas of the store.

That could mean welcoming customers, building Dirks, preparing sides and drinks, serving soft-serve, finalising orders, supporting delivery pickups, restocking the line or keeping the store looking sharp.

You won’t just stand behind a counter and follow a script. You’ll help create the pace, personality and customer experience that makes Dirk’s feel different.

What you’ll do

- Welcome customers and make them feel part of the Pack

- Prepare Dirks, sides, house sodas, drinks and soft-serve

- Learn our service model: Hello, Hustle, Heart

- Work across customer service, food preparation and POS

- Support takeaway and third-party delivery orders

- Keep the store clean, organised and ready for service

- Bring energy and personality to every shift

- Support your teammates when things get busy

- Learn quickly,

- Help create a fast, fun and memorable customer experience

What we’re looking for

Previous hospitality or retail experience is welcome, but it is absolutely not required.

We’re looking for people who are:

- Friendly and confident with customers

- Energetic without being chaotic

- Reliable and on time

- Happy to work as part of a team

- Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment

- Willing to learn and take feedback

- Proud to keep things clean and do the job properly

- Available for at least 10 hours per week

Evening, weekend, public holiday and school holiday availability will be highly regarded.

Our initial trading hours are expected to be around 10am–9pm, with the potential for later Friday and Saturday trading and breakfast shifts in future.

Training and start timing

Dirk’s South Bank is planned to open in October 2026.

Successful applicants will need to be available for compulsory paid induction, training, store preparation and soft-launch activities before opening.

Final dates may shift slightly depending on store handover. Some pre-opening training may take place at our Buranda Village store.

RSA requirement

All Team Members will need to hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.

If you do not already hold an RSA, we can provide access to a discounted course through our preferred training partner. The cost of obtaining the qualification remains the team member’s responsibility.
