About the role

We are seeking a casual veterinarian to provide oversight and support for translational and preclinical research programs. The role includes both day and night shifts and works within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

- Monitoring animal health, welfare and wellbeing.
- Supporting animal handling, assessment and treatment where required.
- Performing clinical observations and appropriate interventions, maintaining appropriate veterinary records.
- Assisting with procedures and responding to veterinary issues that arise.
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Ensuring compliance with ethics, SOPs, policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

About you

- Previous experience working with large animals.
- Current registration as a veterinary surgeon in Western Australia.




- Strong commitment to animal welfare and compliance with regulations.
- Good clinical judgement and practical problem-solving skills.
- Solid communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work casual shifts – both day and night shifts.
