Ashe is the newest restaurant from the team behind Bentley Restaurant Group, bringing a fresh perspective to Sydney dining with a focus on great food, considered hospitality and a strong sense of place.

We’re looking for a Chef to join the kitchen team at Ashe.

This is a hands-on role for someone who cares about the details, enjoys working with valuable people and wants to be part of a restaurant that is building something from the ground up.

The role

Working closely with the senior kitchen team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, from preparation and service through to maintaining the standards that define the Ashe experience.

You’ll be expected to

- Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard
- Work across preparation, service and kitchen operations
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
- Follow recipes, systems and kitchen procedures
- Contribute to a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
- Work closely with the broader kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Support senior chefs and contribute to the development of junior team members
- Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and workplace standards
- Take pride in the details, from prep through to the plate

About you You’ll have experience working in a quality restaurant environment and a genuine interest in food.

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen
- Strong technical skills and a good understanding of kitchen fundamentals
- A positive, team-first approach
- The ability to stay calm and organised during busy service
- High standards and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Good communication and a professional attitude
- A genuine interest in working with quality produce and cooking thoughtful food
