About the role

Little Vics Food and Wine is seeking a talented Chef to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis. Based in Riddells Creek, VIC, this role is fundamental to delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests. As a Chef, you will play a key role in creating innovative, high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellent food and wine experiences.

This is an opportunity to contribute your culinary expertise to a dynamic hospitality environment whilst maintaining flexibility with part-time hours.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency and quality across all menu offerings
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen environment in compliance with food hygiene and safety standards
- Manage food preparation, cooking techniques and plating to ensure dishes meet our quality standards and are presented beautifully
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
- Adhere to recipes and portion control guidelines whilst demonstrating creativity and innovation in the kitchen
- Support menu development and contribute ideas for seasonal specials and new dishes
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain personal hygiene standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working as a Chef in a professional kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing menu requirements and kitchen needs
- Passion for food,



quality ingredients and continuous culinary development
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in hospitality, culinary arts or food safety (preferred)
- Understanding of portion control, costing and waste management
- Be available Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday
- Must have experience in Breakfast/Dinner service
