The Role

As a key member of the Communicare Group Executive, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic leadership across finance, projects, procurement, ICT, property, risk, and compliance. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO partners with the Board and executive leaders to ensure the organisation remains well-positioned to provide social impact to the communities it serves.

With accountability across Communicare and White Ribbon Australia, the CFO ensures effective financial management, regulatory compliance, business resilience, and the delivery of contemporary technology solutions that support organisational performance and growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide executive leadership across finance, ICT, projects, property, risk, compliance, and corporate services, ensuring alignment with Communicare’s strategic objectives.
- Lead financial strategy, governance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and resource management to support sustainable growth and organisational performance.
- Drive digital and technology strategy, including ICT operations, cyber security, innovation, and transformation initiatives that improve organisational effectiveness.
- Oversee the Project Office, ensuring enterprise-wide projects and initiatives are effectively delivered in alignment with organisational strategy, risk management requirements and operational objectives.
- Oversee enterprise risk, compliance, governance, property, and asset management frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance and effective stewardship of organisational resources.
- Partner with the CEO, Board Committees, and key stakeholders to deliver strategic projects, support informed decision-making, and build a high-performing, collaborative culture.

This is a permanent full-time role and is located in Cannington. Due to the nature of the position attendance outside normal business hours will be required. Regular travel will be required.



About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, with CA or CPA accreditation and membership of a relevant professional body.
- Significant senior financial leadership experience in a community and not-for-profit environments, including executive-level responsibility for financial strategy, governance, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and organisational performance.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary corporate services functions.
- Proven ability to partner with Board Committees, CEOs, and executive teams to provide strategic advice, manage risk, drive transformation, and support organisational growth.
- Solid stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills, with experience building high-performing teams.
- Experience within the human services, community services, health, aged care, or not-for-profit sectors will be highly regarded.

Requirements: Current driver's licence and National Police Clearance. Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or similar) and experience leading ICT transformation initiatives are highly regarded.
