Your new company Hays is partnering with a well-established not-for-profit organisation seeking a passionate Children & Youth Project Officer to support the delivery of community-based wellbeing programs for children, young people and families across Perth. This newly created position has been established to support organisational growth and program expansion. Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with schools, families and community organisations while coordinating programs that support wellbeing, social connection and community participation.

The role involves working closely with culturally diverse children, young people and families, supporting inclusive and engaging programs across school and community settings. Your new role

As the Children & Youth Project Officer, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, facilitating and evaluating wellbeing programs delivered across schools and community settings. Working closely with educators, families and community stakeholders, you will support the delivery of initiatives designed to promote resilience, inclusion, positive engagement and community participation for children, young people and families. This is a highly wide-ranging role, combining stakeholder engagement, school outreach, program coordination and community development activities.

You will coordinate school holiday programs, support family-focused initiatives and contribute to the delivery of community events and occasional overnight camps. A key aspect of this position is building strong relationships with schools, community organisations and culturally diverse children, young people and families, ensuring programs are responsive,



accessible and meaningful for participants.

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience delivering programs within education, community services, child and family services or human services environments, along with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

You will bring

- Relevant tertiary qualification in community development, education, youth work, social work, human services or a related discipline
- Experience designing, coordinating and delivering programs for children, young people and families
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build relationships with schools, educators, families and community organisations
- Experience coordinating school-based programs, holiday activities, camps or community initiatives
- Strong organisational, facilitation and project coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team setting
- Experience working with culturally diverse children, young people and families, or broader multicultural communities, is highly desirable
- Current WA Driver's Licence and Working with Children Check
