We are seeking a passionate, experienced and reliable morning educator to join our growing team at My Stars Essendon.

This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys taking responsibility, supporting a team and creating a positive start to the day for children, families and educators.

About the role:

- Early morning start required (exact hours to be discussed during interview)
- Support the opening of the service and ensure a smooth morning transition for children and families
- Provide guidance and support to educators throughout the morning
- Act as a lead educator within the room, supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing
- Complete digital planning, programming, observations, documentation and daily communication using the service’s digital platform
- Be confident using digital technology and able to learn and navigate the service’s digital systems effectively
- Build strong relationships with children, families and team members
- Support daily routines, supervision and compliance requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, including shared responsibility for routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping and maintaining room and service areas
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Director and wider team




- Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the service and contribute to a positive team environment

About you:

- Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher)
- Experience as a room leader, lead educator or morning supervisor
- Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS and early childhood compliance requirements
- Confident supporting and mentoring educators
- Passionate about creating a nurturing and inclusive learning workplace
- Reliable, organised and able to take initiative
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Essential requirements:

- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
- Child Protection and Safety training
- All other required early childhood compliance certificates

Pay: $26.67 – $43.69 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
