Your new company Our client is seeking an Insurance Claims Officer to support their insurance function on contract until the end of January 2027 (possibility for extension/permanent).

This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of insurance matters including public liability, property damage, motor vehicle, recoveries and general insurance claims. Your new role

Working closely with an experienced Insurance Leader, you will support the end-to-end management and administration of a varied insurance portfolio.

Responsibilities will include

- Receiving, registering and coordinating insurance claims and incidents
- Managing claims records, reporting, documentation and correspondence
- Liaising with claimants, solicitors, insurers, brokers and internal stakeholders
- Assisting with public liability, property damage, motor vehicle and related claims
- Reviewing supporting documentation, evidence and claim information
- Preparing reports, registers and data analysis across multiple systems
- Supporting investigations and responding to stakeholder enquiries
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with required processes





This role offers significantly more variety than a traditional claims or administration position and would suit someone looking to build broader insurance and claims expertise. What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Experience in insurance, claims, legal administration, liability, customer service or a related environment
- Strong administrative, organisational and data management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Good technical aptitude including Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Insurance claims experience is highly regarded, particularly within:
- Public Liability
- General Insurance
- Property Claims
- Local Government
- Legal or Paralegal environments
