What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a proactive and professional Cleaning Supervisor to join the team at Glendale Shopping Centre, Newcastle, NSW. The ideal candidate will have experience in retail cleaning and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes a weekend roster.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead an enthusiastic team to maintain the day-to-day presentation of a high-profile shopping centre.
- Ensure excellence in cleaning services, driving performance to meet and exceed goals and KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and internal/external stakeholders.
- Oversee recruitment, on-boarding, and ongoing training, focusing on cleaning, safety, risk management, and skill development.
- Enhance team performance, recognising and rewarding achievements.
- Supervise compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safe work practices, including chemical handling safety.
- Operate and maintain cleaning machinery and equipment.
- Organise and review cleaning schedules, inspections, and audits.
- Manage emergency and safety protocols, always prioritising safety.

Experience: You will lead a team responsible for the presentation and delivery of cleaning services in a retail precinct. Key areas of experience include:

- Leading and motivating large, diverse teams.
- Managing rosters and payroll.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including client liaison and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with general detail cleaning, including mall floors, restrooms, entry points, and car parks.
- Managing periodical cleaning schedules, basic machinery maintenance, and floor care, including carpet and high-glass surfaces.
- Experience with floor care machinery (scrubbing & buffing) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Driver's license.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WH&S;) regulations.
