Edge Employment Solutions

Subiaco

Build connections that help more people with disability pursue meaningful employment.

Edge is looking for an experienced and proactive Client Engagement Officer to grow our NDIS participant numbers, develop referral pathways and guide prospective participants from first contact through to service commencement. You will build relationships with support coordinators, allied health professionals, schools and community organisations, generate and progress suitable referrals, and ensure participants and families receive a welcoming and well-coordinated intake and onboarding experience.

If you understand the NDIS, are confident creating new referral opportunities and bring disciplined follow-up, strong administration and a focus on results, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role

This is a permanent part time position (0.8 FTE - 30.4 hours per week) within Edge's NDIS team, based in Subiaco. It suits someone who combines a genuine, person-centred approach with the drive to build and manage an active pipeline of suitable prospective participants. Reporting to the NDIS Operations Manager, you will be accountable for generating and progressing referrals, converting suitable enquiries into service commencements, coordinating timely onboarding and contributing to agreed intake and growth targets.

What You’ll Do

- Generate and pursue new leads and referral opportunities through proactive outreach, networking and service promotion.
- Build productive referral relationships with support coordinators, allied health professionals, schools, community organisations and other referral sources.
- Be the welcoming first point of contact for prospective participants, families and referrers by phone, email and in person.
- Manage the prospective-participant pipeline from initial contact through to service commencement, with explicit and timely follow-up at every stage.
- Conduct intake discussions to understand each person’s goals, support needs, funding and suitability for Edge’s services.
- Provide clear and accurate information about Edge’s services, pricing and onboarding requirements.
- Prepare and coordinate service agreements, consent forms, risk assessments, participant profiles and other onboarding documentation.
- Monitor participant funding and service agreement balances, promptly identifying and escalating any changes, shortfalls or expiry risks to prevent services being delivered without confirmed funding.
- Work with the NDIS Operations team to support a smooth and timely transition from onboarding to service delivery.
- Keep accurate, confidential and current referral, pipeline and onboarding records in ShiftCare.
- Track referral sources, pipeline activity,

follow-up actions and conversion outcomes, and report on progress against agreed targets.
- Analyse service demand and pipeline data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for growth.

About You

You are approachable, organised and confident initiating contact with new referral sources. You enjoy building relationships, follow through consistently and use accurate information and sound judgement to turn suitable opportunities into positive service commencements.

You will bring

- At least two years’ experience in client engagement, client intake, business development or client services within disability, aged care or community services.
- Demonstrated experience generating referrals, building and managing a client or referral pipeline, and converting enquiries into service commencements.
- Business development and outreach skills, including confidence approaching new referral sources and promoting services.
- Experience working towards and meeting activity, conversion, intake or growth targets.
- Sound working knowledge of the NDIS, including participant funding, service agreements, funding monitoring, intake and onboarding processes.
- Robust stakeholder engagement, verbal and written communication, customer service skills and professional judgement.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including disciplined follow-up and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Sound data literacy and high attention to detail in pipeline reporting, documentation, data entry and record keeping.
- Experience using client management systems, databases and Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Highly regarded:

- Direct experience working within an NDIS or disability support service environment.
- A relevant qualification in community services, disability services, aged care, customer engagement, business administration or a related field.
- Experience applying the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework and NDIS Practice Standards.
- Experience using ShiftCare or a comparable client management system.

What You’ll Need

You will require:

- The legal right to work in Australia sufficient to meet the requirements of the position.
- A current National Police Clearance, or the ability to obtain a satisfactory clearance before commencing.
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain satisfactory clearance before commencing.
- A current Working with Children Check, or the ability to obtain one before commencing.
- A current WA Driver's Licence and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.
