About us:

Mossman Hospital consists of an ED, Acute Ward (funded 13 beds), Aged Care (8 residents), Medical Imaging (USS & Xray only, business hours and on call after hours), Community Health and satellite Dialysis, whilst also offering outpatient services for Mental Health, ATODS, Maternity & Child Health.

We're committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people in Far North Queensland by providing high quality acute health care services.

About your role:

- Direct patient care of all aspects of the Acute Ward from admission to discharge.
- Knowledge of treatment protocols and pathways for patients admitted with a range of medical conditions in the rural setting.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with team members, patients, families and other stakeholders, including participation in relevant networks to achieve work unit outcomes.
- Competence managing sick and deteriorating patients in association with the multi-disciplinary team, the ANUM and NUM.
