Clinical Nurse – Anaesthetics & Recovery/ Procedural Suite Coordinator
About This Role
Equipped with the state of the art robotic theatres and the latest medical technology, our Anaesthetic, Recovery and Procedural Suite Department is expanding to support our clinicians, patients and our expanding services.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Nurse – (Anaesthetic & Recovery) to join our team in a key leadership capacity.
In this role, you will step into the Procedural Suite Coordinator position, providing vital operational support and daily coordination for the procedural suite. Working in close partnership with the Clinical Manager of Anaesthetics and Recovery, Procedural Suite Manager and Endoscopy Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating staff allocation, patient flow, and the smooth execution of the daily lists.
- Facilitating staff meals breaks to ensure safe staffing levels and seamless continuity of patient care.
- Collaborating across the Anaesthetics, Recovery, Procedural Suite and Angiography teams to respond dynamically to changing operational demands
- Fostering a safe, efficient and positive environment for both patients and staff.
Your clinical judgement, calm demeanour and natural leadership will ensure a secure,
high quality perioperative journey for patients across a diverse range of acuity levels.
Position Details
Employment Type: Permanent part-time – 0.6 FTE
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee patient admissions and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate escalation via the relevant clinical pathway when required.
- Deliver expert perioperative nursing care, including comprehensive patient assessment, monitoring, and clinical intervention.
- Partner collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons, proceduralists, interventional cardiologists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
- Provide strong clinical leadership, mentorship, and daily support to nursing colleagues.
- Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and uphold evidence-based, best-practice standards.
- Actively contribute to quality improvement initiatives and champion a robust culture of safety.

- Proven clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills within an Anaesthetic, Recovery and Day Patient suite environment.
