About the role

Help make a difference through the early detection of breast cancer by joining the Breast Screen Queensland Northside Service. This advanced nursing role combines specialist clinical practice, patient support and leadership, ensuring women and families receive compassionate, evidence-based care throughout their breast screening and assessment journey.

Working within a highly skilled interprofessional team, you will provide counselling, education and clinical support for clients recalled following breast screening and those attending high-risk screening programs. You will also contribute to service development, clinical governance and workforce capability initiatives, helping to maintain the delivery of high-quality, accessible breast screening services for the community.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Provide advanced clinical expertise, counselling and support for clients participating in breast screening and high-risk screening programs.
- Demonstrate specialist knowledge, clinical judgement and problem-solving skills in breast screening, assessment and patient-centred care.
- Work collaboratively with interprofessional teams to deliver education, clinical governance activities and high-quality service outcomes.
- Provide clinical leadership,



mentorship and professional support to nursing and multidisciplinary team members while fostering contemporary evidence-based practice.
- Contribute to service innovation, quality improvement, policy development and statewide Breast Screen Queensland initiatives that enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.
