Do you have a passion for education? The Neurosurgery team on 7D is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical leadership in the role of Clinical Nurse Educator.

7D is a 30 bed acute Neurosurgical ward which includes a 4 bed Neurosurgical Step Down Unit (NSDU). We are a tertiary referral centre for neurosurgical referrals across the Northern Sydney and Central Coast Local Health Districts.

We offer a state wide spinal injury service and provide a quaternary referral centre for specialised cerebrovascular conditions. We care for patients with neuro oncology, cerebrovascular, neuro infective, peripheral nerve, spine and traumatic brain conditions. We have many resources in senior nursing support including a NUM, 2 neurosurgical nurse practitioners and a neuroscience CNC.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

- Holds AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse AND holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.

- Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Demonstrated ability to practice safe nursing care and knowledge of policies and clinical practice guidelines.

- Demonstrated commitment to evidence based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management.
