About the role Lead the clinical direction of SA Pathology as Clinical Service Director and play a pivotal role in shaping safe, high-quality pathology services across South Australia. Providing executive-level clinical and strategic leadership, you’ll oversee clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement across this statewide service. Working collaboratively with the Executive Director, SA Pathology and senior leaders across SA Health, you’ll ensure services maintain the highest standards of clinical care, diagnostic integrity, statutory compliance and patient safety across public, private and community settings.

As a respected clinical leader, you’ll guide Clinical Directors and senior scientific, quality and patient services leaders while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation and excellence. You’ll build influential partnerships across metropolitan and regional health networks, professional bodies and key stakeholder organisations, providing expert advice that informs contemporary pathology practice and service reform. With the opportunity to maintain a consultant-level clinical caseload, this influential role combines clinical expertise with strategic leadership to help shape the future of pathology services and improve outcomes for communities across South Australia.

About You

You are an accomplished pathology leader with the clinical expertise, strategic vision and team-oriented leadership style to influence excellence across a complex statewide service. To be successful in this role, you will:

- Hold FRCPA and specialist registration in Pathology with the Medical Board
- Bring extensive clinical experience and senior pathology leadership expertise
- Lead strategic change,



clinical governance and continuous improvement
- Build trusted partnerships and inspire teams across complex health services
