Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We are seeking a motivated and organised Clinical Support Officer to join our dedicated team in a permanent part-time role (3 days per week), offering excellent work-life balance while supporting the delivery of quality patient care.
As a ward-based Clinical Support Officer, you will provide timely and accurate administrative and transactional support to Nurses,
Medical Officers and Allied Health staff. Working closely with ward clerks, communication officers and the wider healthcare team, you will help ensure the smooth operation of Renal Services while supporting established systems and processes. Under the direction of the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager, you will work with broad supervision, using initiative and sound judgement in the application of established work practices and procedures.

What you will bring to the role
1. Hold or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent while working as a Clinical Support
2.
Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high-pressure, high-volume work environment
3. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
4. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software
5. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
