About Us:

Sunnybank Rugby Union Club Ltd, proudly known as The Sunny, is a not-for-profit community club with over 45,000 members, providing our members and guests with a true “home away from home.”

With our restaurant renovations now complete, we are preparing for a busy season ahead and are looking to strengthen our casual team across a number of areas within the Club.

We are seeking experienced, reliable and enthusiastic hospitality and customer service professionals to join our team across Gaming, Reception, Bar, and Food & Beverage.

These are casual positions suited to applicants who enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and are available to work during our busiest periods, including evenings, weekends, public holidays and holiday periods.

Previous experience working within a licensed club, hotel, restaurant or other hospitality establishment is essential.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA). A current Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG) certification will be highly regarded.

Available Departments & Responsibilities:

Gaming Attendants

- Provide friendly, qualified and attentive service to members and guests within the gaming area
- Monitor gaming areas and assist patrons with general enquiries and requests
- Operate gaming machines and related systems in accordance with Club procedures
- Process payouts and handle cash and transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming gaming environment
- Promote a positive customer experience and build strong relationships with members
- Follow all Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Service of Gambling, WHS and Club compliance requirements
- Assist with food and beverage service when required during busy periods
- Previous club, gaming or hospitality experience will be highly regarded
- Current RSG certification is essential

Reception

- Greet members and guests and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Respond to enquiries in person, by telephone and through other Club communication channels in a timely manner




- Assist with new memberships and maintain accurate member information
- Process transactions, membership enquiries and general administrative tasks
- Check identification and manage guest sign-in requirements
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements
- Provide information regarding Club facilities, promotions, entertainment, events and activities
- Assist with Club promotions, raffles, member events and other activities
- Handle enquiries professionally and escalate incidents or issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Previous experience in club reception or hospitality will be highly regarded

Bar Attendants

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with Club standards
- Provide friendly, efficient and professional service to members and guests
- Operate the Point-of-Sale system, including cash, EFTPOS and other transactions
- Maintain strong knowledge of beverages, promotions and Club offerings
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol requirements
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented bar area
- Assist with stock replenishment and general bar duties
- Work effectively during busy trading periods and high-volume service
- Assist other areas of the Club when required
- Previous bar experience within a club, hotel, restaurant or similar hospitality environment will be highly regarded

Food & Beverage Attendants

- Meet, greet and farewell members and guests and provide prompt, courteous and professional service
- Take orders and serve food and beverages in accordance with Club procedures
- Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and confidently assist guests with food and beverage enquiries
- Operate the Point-of-Sale system, including cash,



EFTPOS and membership discounts
- Clear and reset tables and maintain high standards of presentation throughout dining areas
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and presentation of food service and restaurant areas
- Promote the benefits of Club membership and membership card usage
- Maintain knowledge of Club promotions, entertainment, activities and operations
- Follow all food safety, RSA, WHS and other compliance requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Club to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Previous table service, restaurant, club or high-volume hospitality experience will be highly regarded

About you

- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (essential)
- At least 12 months demonstrated experience in hospitality or licensed Club operations
- Knowledge of Customer Service Principles, Liquor Act, Food Act and Point of Sale systems
- RSG Certification not essential for all roles, but highly desirable
- Ability to interact with guests confidently and deliver great services
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and demonstrate initiative, problem-solving and professional approach
- Be organised with the ability to work calmly under pressure
- A passion for people, teamwork and providing exceptional guest service
- Availability to work weekends, nights and public holidays is essential
