CNC Operator / Edge Bander / Wood Machinist – Western Sydney | Full-Time / Casual

VP Recruit is currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator / Wood Machinist with strong edge banding experience to join a busy and growing joinery/manufacturing environment in Western Sydney.

This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or factory-based joinery, looking for reliable, long-term work.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machines (routing, cutting, drilling) for cabinetry and joinery components
- Operate edge bander machines (automatic/manual) ensuring high-quality finishes
- Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and cutting lists
- Operate woodworking machinery including panel saws, beam saws, drills, and planers
- Perform pick packing, assembly, and material handling as required
- Monitor production quality and minimise waste
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Maintain a safe and organised workshop environment





What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, Wood Machinist, Cabinet Maker, or Factory Hand (Joinery)
- Strong experience with edge banding machines
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
- Experience in cabinet making, shopfitting, or furniture manufacturing
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Nice to Have):
- Experience with CNC programming (G-code)
- Knowledge of Cabinet Vision, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar CAD/CAM software
- Forklift licence (LF)
