About the role

This is an opportunity to work closely with an ex-large national firm partner and experienced practitioners on a broad range of commercial disputes. You will have genuine exposure to all stages of the litigation process and the opportunity to develop your skills in a small, focused team setting. While always provided with appropriate guidance and support, you will take responsibility for your own work while collaborating closely with senior lawyers on more complex matters.

Key responsibilities

- Conducting legal research and analysis
- Drafting pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, submissions, and other legal documents
- Assisting with court and tribunal matters, including preparation for hearings and mediations
- Reviewing and analysing evidence and documents
- Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and other parties
- Assisting senior lawyers with case preparation and strategy
- Attending client conferences,



mediations and court hearings as required
- Managing matter files and ensuring key dates and deadlines are met

About you

- Approximately 2-5 years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation
- Admission to practice in Australia, with no current supervision requirement
- Can-do attitude and common sense
- Able to work autonomously but also enjoys collaboration
