Commis Chef (Casual & Permanent Opportunities) – Unley Hotel The Unley is entering an exciting recent chapter, with Piermount proudly taking over operations from 28 September. As we prepare to relaunch and grow this inner metropolitan boutique community venue, we’re on the lookout for motivated Commis Chefs who are passionate about food, eager to learn, and thrives in a contemporary kitchen environment seeking either casual or permanent employment.

About the Role

As a Commis Chef, you’ll support the wider kitchen team in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes while maintaining strong food safety and operational standards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting with food preparation and service across multiple kitchen sections
- Producing consistently high-quality food in line with venue standards
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and productive kitchen environment
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Working collaboratively within a small kitchen team
- Supporting smooth service during high-volume periods across a 7-day roster

About You You’re a reliable, team-oriented individual with a passion for hospitality and a strong desire to grow your culinary skills.

We’re looking for someone with:

- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery




- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work 42 hours per week across a seven-day roster
- Good communication skills and a team-first mindset
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in high-volume kitchens (advantageous but not essential)
