LCI is seeking a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer for our Sydney office. We are an engineering design house specialising in building services. We employ over 300 staff within six offices across Australia. We’ve built a phenomenal team.… and we are continuing to grow.

The ideal candidate will be a senior engineer with experience in CFD modelling, or a graduate engineer with exposure to CFD modelling. They will be involved in technical consulting within the ESD team and be working closely with other ESD consultants and/or mechanical engineers. Day-to-day activities will predominantly consist of performing CFD studies on various projects with a focus on data centres.

Desirable Requirements for this Role include: -

- Experience within an engineering consultancy.
- An understanding of wind engineering.
- An understanding of mechanical heat rejection systems.
- An understanding of data centre design.
- Experience with Ansys Fluent, OpenFOAM, or Cadence Reality DC.
- Experience with Python and/or C/C++.
- Experience with ESD and/or energy modelling with IES.
- Experience with parametric modelling tools such as Grasshopper.

Skills & Experience: -

- Engineering degree with exposure to fluid mechanics and experience with CFD.
- Ability to work independently with a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
