Best Start Early Learning Centre is a privately owned and operated early learning provider on the Central Coast, NSW.

We're growing — and Wyee is our next chapter. This is a brand recent, purpose-built 126 place long day care service opening in Late 2026, and we're looking for a passionate Cook to help bring our service to life.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and creative Cook to join our founding team at Best Start ELC Wyee.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a brand-new facility featuring a state-of-the-art commercial kitchen and be part of shaping a warm, welcoming and high-quality service from day one.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals that cater to the dietary needs of young children from infancy through to preschool age. Your culinary skills will help foster positive mealtime experiences and healthy eating habits in a nurturing early learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children across all age groups
- Develop seasonal menus aligned with nutritional guidelines for young children
- Manage food ordering, stock rotation and kitchen budgets
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and kitchen presentation
- Manage dietary requirements, allergies and food safety plans
- Work collaboratively with educators and leadership to support children’s wellbeing
- Maintain compliance with Food Safety Standards and WHS requirements

About You

- Experience as a Cook within an Early Childhood Service or comparable commercial setting




- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent
- Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary requirements for young children
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Passionate about creating positive food experiences for children
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR qualification (desirable)
