Cafe Fontaine is a vibrant café located in Potts Point, Sydney, offering a welcoming dining experience with a focus on high-quality breakfast, brunch, lunch, and specialty coffee.

Cafe Fontaine is seeking a qualified and experienced Cook to be part of our kitchen team. This full-time position carries a salary of $80,000 to $82,000 plus super.

You should ideally have a Certificate IV in Cookery or equivalent work experience. You should at least 12 months of proven industry experience. You should demonstrate sound culinary knowledge and skills in a fast-paced kitchen workplace. This role is open to Australian Citizen and Permanent Residents. · Prepare and cook a fresh variety of café-style meals, breakfast dishes, lunch specials, light meals, and menu items as per Café Fontaine’s recipes and quality standards.

· Prepare à la carte food orders efficiently while accommodating customer dietary requirements and special requests.

· Execute food preparation and plating in line with café standards to ensure consistency and quality.





· Manage food preparation and cooking processes during busy service periods, maintaining efficient workflow and timely service.

· Maintain high standards of food handling, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety in compliance with food safety regulations.

· Monitor stock levels, assist with inventory control, and ensure ingredients and supplies are available for daily operations.

· Receive, inspect, and store deliveries appropriately to maintain food quality and minimise wastage.

· Assist in developing seasonal menu items, daily specials, and new café offerings in collaboration with the Head Chef or Café Manager.

· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing food quality, customer satisfaction, and kitchen productivity.

· Ensure all food preparation areas, kitchen equipment, and storage facilities are maintained in a clean and organised condition.

· Support team members during service periods to deliver a positive dining experience for customers.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
