Cook – Japanese Restaurant

WARA SUSHI WEST END PTY LTD is a rapid-growing company in Japanese restaurant industry. We are providing fine Japanese cuisines and high-quality beverages. We are seeking a cook.

Position: Cook

Work Hours: 38 hours per week

Duration: 3 years

Work Type: Full-Time,

Workplace: Shop 13/405 Montague Road, West End, QLD 4101

Annual Salary: $80,000 + Superannuation (12%)

You will perform the following tasks for the role:

1. Perform the activities of kitchen for the purpose of commercial cookery,
2. Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager,
3. Check food to ensure its quality,
4. Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment,
5. Prepare food for cooking,
6. Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming),
7. Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented,
8. Clean food preparation areas and equipment,
9. Store food in temperature-controlled facilities,
10.



Receive and store supplies,
11. Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional,
12. Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements.

To be successful, you must satisfy the following requirements: (1) Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role within the food industry

(2) Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen

(3) Qualification/s in hospitality (commercial cookery) or related discipline

(4) Australian citizen/Permanent resident (preferable)
