Your new role

As the Coordinator Engineering Design, you will lead the Engineering Design team and oversee the planning, development and delivery of infrastructure designs that support the organisation's capital works program and long-term strategic objectives.

- Lead and manage the Engineering Design team, providing direction, coaching and technical leadership.
- Oversee engineering design projects from concept through to detailed design and construction readiness.
- Provide specialist engineering advice to senior leadership on infrastructure planning, policy and asset development.
- Manage consultant engagements, procurement activities and contract performance for engineering design projects.
- Ensure engineering designs comply with relevant standards, design manuals, legislative requirements and local government frameworks.
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement with government agencies, service authorities, contractors and the wider community.




- Identify and secure external funding opportunities through grant applications and funding submissions for major infrastructure projects.

What you'll need to succeed

- Degree or Diploma qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- Extensive experience in engineering design, road and drainage design, and civil infrastructure delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong knowledge of local government engineering standards, policies and relevant legislation.
- Proven experience in consultant management, procurement and contract administration.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
