This newly created position sits within the finance function of a large, privately owned Australian organisation with a complex group structure.
Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, and working closely with a Senior Financial Accountant and a growing team, it offers a robust first or second move for someone coming out of a Big 4 or mid-tier audit background.The RoleYou'll be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely statutory financial reporting across the group, while building your exposure to audit coordination and technical accounting.
Day to day, you'll be:Preparing annual financial statements and solvency declarations for group entitiesSupporting Board and Audit Committee reporting,



including papers on key accounting mattersCoordinating the external audit process and resolving audit queries with the businessesPreparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to strengthen financial governanceProviding technical accounting advice and supporting the implementation of current accounting standardsAbout YouTo be considered you'll need:CA or CPA qualification (essential)Solid grounding in technical and statutory accounting standardsExperience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements and coordinating external auditsThe ability to communicate confidently with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersStrong attention to detail and the maturity to manage competing deadlinesThis is a genuinely broad role for someone ready to step up from professional services into a complex, well-governed group, with the mentoring and structure in place to build a long-term career in industry.Successful Candidates are required to reside in Melbourne, Victoria and hold Australian Permanent Working Rights
