When a client's connection through Singapore is cancelled on their way home, someone needs to answer. That's you.
Flutis is a corporate travel platform that puts business and personal travel into one AI-powered solution. Companies get their travel policy built into every booking and a smaller travel bill. Employees earn Flutis Cash when they pick the cheaper option, and they spend it on their own holidays. We launched in the UK in 2024 and are growing in Australia.
The role
You'll be a core part of the early team in region, and the Australian half of our global operations desk. You'll work Australian business hours, which are the hours when London is asleep. You'll partner with our UK operations centre so that clients get continuous support, wherever they're travelling.
Our platform handles routine bookings. You handle what matters most: the reassuring voice at the other end of the line, the four-city itinerary, the rebooking in the middle of a storm, the traveller who needs to solve seats for their kids and get to an key meeting by 9am.
What you'll do
- Work with our platform and customers to manage travel end to end (flights, hotels, rail, car hire and transfers) by phone, email and chat.
- Take over when the platform hands off: complex itineraries, group bookings, senior travellers, and anything that needs judgement.
- Keep people moving when plans break, including changes, cancellations and delays, often while they're mid-journey.
- Pick up the UK team's open cases each morning and hand yours back each evening, so nobody gets lost between time zones.
- Book within each client's travel policy,
and find the cheaper compliant option when there is one. That's where our clients save money and travellers earn Flutis Cash.
- Help employees plan personal trips on the leisure side. This is where upgrades and extras belong.
- Tell us what's broken. Your feedback shapes how the platform develops.
- Help build how our Australian operation works. This role starts at the beginning.
What you'll bring
- Solid experience as a corporate travel consultant. A TMC background is ideal.
- Confidence with international itineraries, including fares, fare rules, reissues and refunds.
- GDS experience (Amadeus, Sabre or Travelport) and familiarity with online booking tools.
- Calm under pressure. A traveller stuck in an airport judges the whole company by the next ten minutes with you.
- Clear writing. Across time zones, a good handover note is half the job.
- The discipline to work well remotely and juggle several live requests at once.
Useful, not essential
- An interest in sustainable travel and how companies measure it
- Experience working with overseas teams
- Leisure travel experience
Why Flutis
- Get to be on the ground floor of a new market. Early hires shape how things work.
- Our tools were built in the last two years, not the painful ones you've spent years working around.
- You work Australian business hours with no night shift. The time difference does that for us.
- You'd work daily with a UK team whose clients travel worldwide.
