Credit Team Leader | SME Lending | Sydney CBD | $160 - $170k plus super plus bonus (10%)

Keep your DLA, stay on the tools and lead a small team of three.

My client is one of Australia's largest locally owned online small business lenders, and a regular on the Top 5 employer lists. They assess businesses on how they actually trade, using real time data, so they can say yes to more business owners, faster.

They're looking for a Credit Team Leader to run the daily credit queue and lead a team of three, while still assessing deals every day.

What you'll be doing:

- Running the queue day to day, allocating work and keeping decisions moving
- Assessing applications yourself and taking calls with brokers and Sales
- Being the go to person on complex and larger deals
- Balancing commercial opportunity with credit policy and risk appetite
- Using workflow and quality data in Excel to spot trends and fix root causes
- Coaching the team and turning policy changes into practical guidance
- Working closely with Sales, Operations and Risk





What you'll bring:

- A current or previous DLA in commercial or SME lending
- Solid hands on credit experience, including complex or high value deals
- A highly analytical mindset and comfort with reporting and Excel
- The confidence to say yes, no or not yet, and explain why
- Experience coaching others. Formal leadership is a bonus, not a must
- A relevant degree (Finance, Economics, Business or similar)
