Cropping & Livestock Operations - Senior Farm Hand

Jones Bros Family Farm is seeking an experienced Cropping & Livestock Operations - Senior Farm Hand.

For Irrigated and dryland cropping, sheep production, across our Eugowra & Manildra sites, NSW.

Base location is 20 minutes east of Forbes, a welcoming township with great schools, healthcare and recreational facilities, in a prime agricultural region.

About the Role

This hands-on role involves day-to-day irrigation operations, crop production, sheep work and the like. Working closely with the Farm Manager, who will oversee your day-to-day responsibilities & tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Irrigated and dryland cropping operations, including planting, irrigating, spraying, harvesting etc

Chaser Bin driver during seasonal harvest

Some mechanical & welding ability to maintain farm machinery, infrastructure and other equipment as directed

Sheep work as directed, feeding, mustering, drenching etc

Adhere to compliance, safety, environmental and crop management standards

About You

We’re looking for a motivated person with:

Experience in mixed cropping & irrigation operations, GPS Experience, Trimble (or solid willingness to learn)

Chemical accreditation,



a valid driver’s license, preferably HC licence, forklift licence bonus but not mandatory

Confidence in operating farm machinery

Mechanical aptitude, welding and the ability to maintain farm equipment, bonus

Problem-solving and communication skills, ability to work independently and or as part of a team

Agricultural qualifications (advantageous but not essential)
