Position: Experienced Indian Chef

Location: Riverside, Launceston

Restaurant: Jungle & Caves Fusion Indian Restaurant & Cafe

Responsibilities

- Prepare authentic Indian dishes including curries, tandoori items, naan bread, and appetizers
- Maintain high food quality and presentation standards
- Manage kitchen operations during busy service hours
- Ensure cleanliness and food safety according to Australian standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Work closely with kitchen staff and management
- Create consistent taste and portion control

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Indian cuisine
- Experience with tandoor and curry section preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings
