About Us When people talk about the Flying Doctor, thoughts generally turn to red-bellied planes undertaking rescue missions in the Outback. However, the current Victorian story is one that reflects today's challenges for people living in remote and rural communities across the state. While we do still transport people by air and by road, this work is complemented by a range of primary health services that address the most common issues people living in country Victoria face when accessing health care.
About the Role The Database Project Officer is a part-time, 12-month fixed-term chance, equivalent to 0.4 FTE (2 days per week), supporting critical data remediation, standardisation and platform transition initiatives within RFDS Victoria's Fundraising & Partnerships team. Working closely with the CRM and supporter data teams, you will improve the quality, accuracy and integrity of fundraising data across key systems. This hands-on role focuses on data cleansing, migration, validation and archiving activities that support sustainable business improvements and future growth.
It is ideal for a detail-oriented data professional who enjoys working with large datasets, structured processes and continuous improvement
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Execute data remediation, cleansing, migration and archiving activities in line with approved project plans and data standards.
- Prepare, validate and reconcile data to support CRM improvement and platform transition projects.
- Perform bulk data operations including imports, updates,
consolidations and de-duplication across large datasets.
- Support the implementation of CRM configuration, coding and data structure changes.
- Conduct testing, quality assurance and data validation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Standardise and remediate historical fundraising and supporter data records.
- Maintain project documentation, data standards and records of completed changes.
- Monitor project progress, risks and dependencies to support successful project delivery.
To be successful, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience in data operations, database administration or data quality roles.
- Hands-on experience using Raiser's Edge NXT or a comparable CRM platform.
- Proven experience performing bulk data imports, updates, cleansing and de-duplication activities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and Power Query.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately against documented standards and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Relevant qualifications in data, information systems, business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Satisfactory completion of safety screening including a current Working with Children's Check, National Police Check, and the right to work in Australia.
