Databricks Data Engineers needed across Australia (FTE, FTC, contract options available)

We’re looking for engineers who enjoy getting their hands dirty with modern data platforms and building solutions that work at enterprise scale.

For Data Engineering roles, you’ll ideally have experience with:

- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, PySpark, SQL and Delta Lake
- Designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion frameworks and medallion architectures
- Working with Databricks Workflows, notebooks and Asset Bundles
- Taking solutions through the full engineering lifecycle — from development and deployment through to performance optimisation and production support
- Contemporary engineering practices including unit testing, CI/CD, Agile delivery and Azure DevOps

For Backend Engineering roles:

- Strong FastAPI experience is essential
- Building and integrating REST APIs
- Experience with JWT/OAuth2 authentication and authorisation
- Hands-on exposure to Databricks Apps and cloud-native application development





Great to have You don’t need everything on this list, but it’s a bonus if you have:

- Experience across AI/ML engineering or MLOps
- Some front-end experience with technologies such as Next.js, HTML/CSS or modern UI frameworks
- Databricks or Azure certifications
