Western Downs Digital Park

Western Downs Digital Park is a major new hyperscale data centre campus at Kogan in Queensland. This is an opportunity to help establish the operating organisation, systems and service culture for a critical recent digital infrastructure asset from the ground up.

The role The DC Operations Director will lead the live technical operation within the data centre boundary. You will be accountable for safe, reliable and efficient operations, protecting uptime and customer service levels across the campus's critical facilities, maintenance and security functions.

This role brings together technical services managers, maintenance, technicians, security leaders and specialist vendors within a disciplined 24-hour operating environment. You will own operational risk, change and incident governance and act as a senior point of contact for the customer.

What you will lead

- Critical facilities operations and customer services within the data centre boundary.
- Technical services, maintenance, security and specialist vendor performance.
- Availability, uptime,



SLA performance and the early identification and mitigation of operational risk.
- Change control, incident management, root-cause review and continual service improvement.
- The DC operations budget, forecasts, cost control and performance reporting.
- Business continuity, emergency response and HSEQ compliance.

What you will bring You will have led a live mission-critical or large-scale critical infrastructure operation with direct accountability for reliability, service delivery and technical teams. Data centre experience is highly valuable; comparable experience may include hospitals, pharmaceuticals, utilities, energy or advanced manufacturing where uninterrupted operation is essential.

- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical critical infrastructure, maintenance and security systems.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams and specialist vendors in a 24-hour environment.
- Experience managing customer SLAs and KPIs within a formal risk framework.
- Practical expertise in change management, incident response, escalation and post-incident review.
- Commercial capability across budgets, contracts and vendor performance.
- A hands-on, decisive and improvement-focused leadership style.
