Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Penarth (5 days a week for first 3 months)
Salary: £40,000 - £46,000
We're hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of a well-established AWS and internal IT environment within a growing SaaS tech business.
It's a excellent opportunity for someone who wants full ownership of infrastructure rather than being a small part of a bigger team.
You'd be managing a reliable AWS setting but also the wider IT estate, so you get that mix of cloud and hands‐on responsibility.
You'll work closely with leadership and gradually take over the full infrastructure function.
It suits someone who enjoys improving systems rather than constantly firefighting or rebuilding from scratch.
Key Responsibilities




Manage and optimise AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Route 53)
Maintain Linux and Windows environments
Oversee backups, disaster recovery and system resilience
Manage DNS, CDN and edge services (Cloudflare)
Own internal IT systems, hardware and security
Improve monitoring, automation and operational efficiency
