Dental Excellence Adelaide is seeking a motivated and skilled Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant with some interest in Dental Receptionist role to join our team. If skills and interest match, could potentially be promoted to practice management role as well. As the Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist, you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and providing exceptional patient care. This is a full-time or part time position to suitable applicant based in Adelaide CBD.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during procedures by preparing equipment, passing instruments, and ensuring a smooth workflow
- Greeting and welcoming patients, managing appointment scheduling, and handling patient inquiries and concerns
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
- Sterilising and disinfecting dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols
- Ordering and managing dental supplies to ensure the practice is always well-stocked
- Providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive patient experience
About you
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist,
preferably in a dental practice setting desirable
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment
- Proficiency in using dental software and equipment
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient safety
- A team-oriented mindset and a willingness to support the dental team in any way needed
