About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our specialist team. Working closely with our Periodontists and Oral Health Therapists, you will play an important role in supporting high-quality clinical care, maintaining efficient clinical workflows and helping to uphold best-practice standards across the practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Dental Assistant who enjoys working in a specialist setting and is looking to further develop their clinical skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Chairside assisting across a range of surgical and non-surgical periodontal procedures
- Assisting with advanced surgical procedures and IV sedation
- Maintaining high standards of sterilisation and infection control
- Laboratory duties and intra-oral scanning
- Providing patients with clear instructions, support and reassurance throughout their treatment
- Assisting with reception and administrative duties when required
- Maintaining efficient clinical workflows and ensuring rooms are prepared to a high standard
- Supporting and mentoring junior Dental Assistants
- Contributing to continuous improvement and best-practice initiatives




- Creating a positive and professional patient experience from arrival through to completion of treatment

About You

You will be an experienced Dental Assistant who takes pride in your work, demonstrates initiative and enjoys being part of a high-performing clinical team.

Essential:

- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation procedures
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a busy clinical environment
- High level of reliability, professionalism and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Highly desirable:

- Experience assisting with advanced periodontal or surgical procedures
- Experience with IV sedation
- Experience with intra-oral scanning and laboratory procedures
- Previous experience in a specialist dental practice
