Dental Receptionist / Dental Nurse – Ararat Family Dental

Location: Ararat, VIC Employment type: Part-time, approximately 3 days per week

Hours: 8:45 am – 5:15 pm

Days: Negotiable for the right applicant

Ararat Family Dental is a busy and welcoming new dental clinic seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and professional Dental Receptionist / Dental Nurse to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and would like to be part of a friendly, patient-focused practice.

About the role

The successful applicant will assist with both front-desk reception and clinical dental nursing duties, including:

- Welcoming patients and managing the reception area
- Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Managing patient records and correspondence
- Processing payments and health-fund claims
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment
- Assisting the dentist during procedures
- Sterilising instruments and maintaining infection-control standards
- Providing support and reassurance to patients
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional clinic
- Completing general administrative duties as required

About you

The successful applicant will ideally have:





- Previous dental reception and/or dental nursing experience
- Relevant dental nursing qualifications or experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly, caring and professional manner
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Good computer skills and attention to detail
- The ability to work calmly and efficiently in a busy environment
- A willingness to learn and contribute to a positive team culture
- Current infection-control knowledge, or a willingness to complete relevant training

Previous experience with dental practice software and health-fund claiming systems would be highly regarded.
